To those who are avid watchers of beatmaking videos, I’m sure there’s a pretty good chance you’ve seen a guy by the name of Boonie Mayfield. He’s set a nice reputation and following over the years with his soulful style of production. Recently he’s released a sample kit cleverly called the BoonBap Loops Collection which has 3 volumes. I’ve had the pleasure of digging through the first of these volumes. I feel that this is geared toward the soulful music creators. If you produce smooth HipHop, NeoSoul, or R&B, this may be something to consider going after.

- Drum breaks do not have bpm’s like the loops
- No loops are key labeled which would’ve been nice for any beginners out there
- Will have to turn up volume on some sounds within your DAW
